Tartans Sports Bar: Your Go-To Spot for Great Food and Sports in Hendersonville

When you go to a sports bar you have to remember it's not a white tablecloth, homemade vinaigrette kinda place. It is a Sports bar! With that being said the fried mushrooms & beer battered onion rings are bagged frozen but they are fried crispy. Couldn't taste the oil so it was clean. The chicken parm sandwich was good. The bread was toasted and fresh mozz and the Marinara was descent too. Don't worry, it's not too salty, in fact it could have used some seasoning but it was fried (again) nicely and presented well. The wing tho.... larger, nice & meaty! Fried perfectly, not overcooked. Crispy skin and not floating in seasoning. Sauce didnt taste like it was fresh or homeade though. We couldn't eat anything else but the guys next to us got dessert. Ice cream sandwiches! What a cool idea for a sports bar. No draft beer so it's personal preference. The place is clean and Brad was our waitor. He was exceptional. Knowledgeable and kind . Never let us 'need' for anything and not pushy. Will consider to go again and try a burger and beer. Fun. Safe. Hopefully they add some 'fresh' not fried stuff to the menu. They had tricia night while we were there. WEDNESDAY WINGS, other specials and new menu items. Not sure if they have the something special this location will need to succeed with all of the other great restaurants so close with fresh and exciting menu items.

Great Menu! Awesome juicy onion rings with the Burger are so good. Chastity took good care of us at the bar. Great experience all the sports on big screens at the bar. Cheese Bites were perfect with the secret Marinara. Delicious!

Little hidden gem of a sports bar. Food is tasty and priced inline with the rest of the establishments downtown. The Rueben is my favorite on the menu, along with their wings, boneless or with the bone. Taylor and Kailee are both great people with attentive service. The only negative I can say is for a sports bar, lots of tvs, yet only music overhead and no sound for any games. But a good little spot in my book.

Finally had a chance to check out Tartans, and was not disappointed. Walked down the stairs and into the bar area and was met with a very relaxing vibe. Food and drink were both brought out in a timely fashion and with a smile from the friendly staff. Their Lil Cheese Bites were amazing, but the Chicken Parm Wedge stole the show. Washed it all down with a Boojum Hibiscus Sour. Absolutely recommend Tartans!

Visiting from London and this was our first time in a sports bar. This was a fantastic spot with a lively atmosphere and great service. Lots of different sports to watch with a nice outside area too. The bar staff were welcoming & friendly and the food was amazing - the Philly cheesesteak was to die for! We came during the snow storm and weren’t able to get an Uber/taxi back to our hotel but the bar owner and the staff made sure we were safe in getting back, so thank you very much! If you’re in or around Hendersonville, would highly recommend visiting this place - a hidden gem.

My friend and I came for the Duke game tonight. The staff were AMAZING, kept the game on for us and served us delicious food and cold beer. The crowd was a bit abrasive but the manager quickly and efficiently cleared the bar of the racist, sexist drunk. I’ll for sure attend again for a game knowing I’m in good hands with the staff

Definitely a good spot for watching sports and having a brew with plenty of tvs for playoffs etc. The atmosphere is decent with outside area for warmer months and basement style tap room with family seating on the other side (family and kid friendly.) Now the food was all American pub grub style and I’d say get the burger or wings stay clear of most of the rest. The service unfortunately was sub par with our wait staff checking on us once over a period of an hour and I had to eventually flag her down to get water. The kitchen seemed like they were in the weeds but you could tell which staff were still doing their best to make patrons comfortable vs others. Underwhelmed was hoping for a bit better to be honest. We may try them again in summer.
